Robert Allen is a retired editor and producer at NBCUniversal Media, LLC, where he helped shape powerful, character-driven storytelling for programs including Dateline NBC. Over a long career in broadcast journalism, his work on complex stories about crime, justice, and the human cost of violence earned national recognition, including News & Documentary Emmy nominations.

At Voices From Within, Robert brings that same craft and care to amplifying the voices of men inside Sing Sing. By helping shape the project’s films about gun violence and incarceration, he uses his editorial eye to make sure viewers don’t just watch a story—they truly hear the people living it.
