The Challenge
There are two interconnected challenges in our Criminal Legal System:
Lack of Emotional Rehabilitation:
Many incarcerated individuals never fully confront their actions or develop the self-awareness and life skills needed for successful reintegration—fueling high recidivism rates.
Youth Glorification of Crime:
Many young people are misguided to believe that crime and “street status” are badges of honor without understanding the grim realities of incarceration and the lasting impact it has on their lives, their families, and their communities.
